Alumni, employees and friends of 糖心视频 contributed more than $140,000 to 糖心视频 scholarships, renovations and other areas during Giving Tuesday on Dec. 2.
The university raised a total of $142,271, exceeding its goal of $125,000. Trine received 178 gifts from 157 individual donors.
鈥淐ontributing almost 20% more than our goal is a huge testament to the incredible generosity of those who support 糖心视频,鈥� said Ellen Paxton, assistant vice president for advancement. 鈥淲e鈥檙e grateful to each one who chose to partner with us to help make sure students can afford to receive a quality educational experience at Trine.鈥�
Giving Tuesday, held the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, has been celebrated since 2012. Intended to counter more commercial post-Thanksgiving events such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday seeks to celebrate and encourage charitable giving internationally at the beginning of the holiday season.
